We are in training

Mens Training Camp — Narrow Is The Path. Mt. Nemo, 5565 Guelph Line, Burlington. Friday Sept 18th–19th. GA tickets $99 +HST.

The wide road is for sleepwalkers. We are training our men for the crown, and that requires the sharp edge of discipline. Wake up. Take feedback. Kill offence. The team is in training so we can run the narrow track. To do this, we need to be coachable. We are in training!

"Mens Training Camp" · Narrow is the Track

Bold, stretched, retro-futuristic athletic type over deep, muted track colors — asphalt blacks and turf greens punctuated by stark, urgent accents. Captains in retro athletic apparel with whistles and Gatorade coolers from day one.

The Firepit

To build: we need to create another one of these firepits. We currently have one stored at the old mens overnighter location.

06 · Rite of Passage

Rite of Passage

Placeholder — Jesse designing the moment. Saturday 10:30 AM, all in.

  • The moment — what happens, and what it means
  • The ground — where on the property it takes place
  • The program — order, words, who leads what
  • The memento — what every man takes home (coin idea)
  • Pointman + team to run it
07 · Strategy

The squad strategy

As our numbers scale, our strategy must evolve. Squads ensure the event expands without losing the man.

Phase 1 · Current Focus

Establish Squad Infrastructure

Launch regional squads (Downtown, Midtown, Hamilton) to decentralize campsites and secure small-group connection. Capacity: 350–500 men. The move to campground format demands logistical excellence.

Phase 2 · Future Focus

Complete Squad Autonomy

Squads become fully self-sustained units handling their own campsites, fire circles and cooking. Capacity: 500+.

08 · Leadership

The team

Every Captain Commits To

  • A named 2i/c and a squad of 25 recruited men
  • The Coach & Leaders Gathering + at least 1 build day
  • Direct support of his guys through to the event
  • Follow-up: every man landed in a Connect Group

09 · Measuring Success

Measuring success

Vision & Culture

Practical measures that a man leaves unoffendable and coachable — defined with you before the event.

Squads & Operations

Squad captains recruited, squads full (25 each), setup/food/packdown owned before the day, every man followed into a Connect Group after.

Fall Connect Season — with Discipleship Pathway

Work with the Discipleship Pathway team to measure engagement in the Fall Connect Season. Identify all the leaders of male connect groups and create a moment for captains to help men sign up to a connect group and the next mens event.
